About Duke Baxter

My name is Duke Baxterand I am a native of Bridgewater, NJ. I played baseball at Florida Community College at Jacksonville where I received an Accounting degree and then moved onto the University of North Florida. I led the nation in doubles (31) in 1994 and set the NCAA record. After playing 3 years of Professional baseball I was one of the originaters of a very successful Sports Acaedemy called ZONED Inc. I am currently the Baseball and Softball Coordinator for Zoned Sports Academy in NJ. My teaching skills and results with high school hitters have earned me the respect from college coaches across the U.S. I have had a major influence on some of the top softball hitting prospects from the Northeast, including the 2005 Gatorade P.A. State Player of the Year, Laura Jaxheimer currently at Hofstra University, 2-Time All-Stater Sam Pellechio of Fordham and many more. A favorite of travel teams in the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania area, my reputation as a dedicated instructor is growing nationally. I have a passion for teaching and developing players to help them become the best player they can be. I use my energetic style along with the passion I have for the game to influence each and every player I come in contact with.
