Improving Your Game Off the Court

You don't have to be on the tennis court to work on your game. There are many ways to do that. You can work on your swing without a ball and you can also work on your physical ability in the gym or even sitting in the classroom by squeezing a ball to develop your wrist.

Watching tennis on TV can be a great way to learn, looking for patterns, imitating the pros and listening to the commentary can be very useful. Visualization is another way of improving; simply imagine yourself playing perfect shots and winning points, replaying past marches -- only good matches -- in your mind can get you in a zone. It's a good mental exercise.
